ABOUT
Familjehem Göteborg recruits, investigates, supports, and trains contractors for children and young people in Gothenburg who cannot live at home or need support. Sometimes an additional adult is needed beyond the child’s parents – someone who can be there occasionally, often, or all the time. Familjehem is part of the social services responsible for ensuring that children’s needs are met.
The challenges
Familjehem Göteborg consists of several units spread throughout the city, and the number of contractors is large, creating communication difficulties.
We collaborated with Familjehem Göteborg to digitize their communication processes and create a more efficient system.
The purpose of the app was to complement, facilitate, and improve communication with contractors and also support in recruiting new engaged adults.
They needed a better way to communicate with their contractors and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
A single platform where users can find information about events, register for them, and get other current information. Familjehem Göteborg can use the app to post information about training and lectures
events, evaluations, meetings, etc.
An intuitive and user-friendly app that must be easy to use for everyone, whether they work at Familjehem, are contractors, want to become contractors, or just want to know more about what is happening.
A platform designed to protect user data and privacy while promoting open communication. The app complies with GDPR and the Swedish Data Protection Act to ensure the highest security standards are met.
The solution
We collaborated with Familjehem Göteborg to design and develop a custom mobile app tailored to their specific needs, considering limited time and budget. From initial UI/UX design to coding and implementation, we handled everything end-to-end.
THE PROJECT
We developed an app that includes everything mentioned above, as well as a custom admin panel.
The goal of the admin panel is to make it easier for Familjehem Göteborg to create and manage messages and user accounts.
Therefore, the admin panel has a user-friendly interface that ensures smooth communication.
As part of our partnership, we provided project management services with staff coordinating with both the development team and the client.
Our project manager ensured that the project met expected standards and that the client was satisfied throughout the development process.

The app has enabled smoother communication from Familjehem Göteborg to contractors.

THE FUTURE
The app is used daily within Familjehem Göteborg. We completed everything planned for the first phase of the project and continue our partnership by exploring further development and support opportunities. Together, we are exploring additional improvements, focusing on continuous development to deliver more features that facilitate communication.
Synergies between a client who understands their needs and the interests of the target group and who is willing to actively work with ideas, along with our technical support, have led to a very rewarding collaboration and an excellent digital product.
