ABOUT
Northerner, now known as Haypp Group, has been selling smokeless tobacco products online since 1998. They ship to 100+ countries from 4 warehouses and built one of the largest product selections in the category globally: 1,000+ products, 160,000 customers.
The
In 2017, Northerner needed to migrate from Magento 1 Enterprise to Magento 2 Commerce.
The scale made it complex: a database of 160,000 customers, 1,000+ products, and shipping regulations that vary across 100+ countries.
Getting this wrong would have disrupted the customer experience across every market they operate in.
THE
We migrated the full platform to Magento 2 Commerce with a new custom theme built around their specific functionality. Performance, scalability, and the customer experience all improved.
We connected the platform to external APIs for data exchange and automated email and support services. Every integration was built with country-specific validation rules to stay compliant across all markets.
We connected all 4 warehouses to the Magento 2 platform, centralized inventory, accurate stock levels, efficient order fulfillment across every region.
We implemented Elasticsearch for fast, responsive search across a 1,000+ product catalog.
We handled SEO and content adaptation for the German-language site. Keyword research, content, and broken link cleanup. Longer sessions, higher conversions.
We proposed and rolled out Jira Service Desk across the organization and took on the Product Owner role during implementation. Cleaner task management, less manual coordination.
